Short Story One : The Smart Bats

Once upon a time a war broke between birds and beasts in a jungle. They were fighting to own a part of jungle. There were a group of bats who were living in the same part of jungle. They remained neutral without supporting either party. But actually, they also desired to own that part of jungle. The birds and beasts were equally strong and none of them were ready to give up. After many days of war, slowly the birds started to become weaker. The birds approached the bats for their support. Bats smartly said that they could be considered as birds, but they were mammals also they did not want to take the side of the birds. The birds also felt that they were right. So, stopped approaching. After a few days the beasts approached the bats for help. Then again, the bats said that they could take their side as bats can be considered as birds and so, it would be considered as cheating.

Days passed, both the parties became weaker. A few birds flew away to the different parts of jungle and a few lost their lives. Same happened with the beats, they ran for their lives. Finally, the bats who were patiently waiting, celebrated the victory without losing any lives.
