Positive Affirmation for Kids

What are Affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements. These help you in changing negative and self harming thoughts.

Positive Affirmations are strong positive statements that help the mental make up for a person. Research shows that about 75% of thoughts in human beings are negative thoughts Positive affirmations help you to consciously stay positive .

To affirm is to say something positively.  So when you say an affirmation, you declare a positive intention. By saying affirmations daily, you make room for positive thoughts

What is the correct way to do affirmations?

1. Our mind thinks in the present . So Affirmations are more effective if they are written in the positive tense

So, instead of writing “I will be Kind”. The better way to do it would be “I am Kind”,  If you write it in the present tense the mind takes it as a directive that it must follow. Affirmations shoud start with “ Iam..”

So example of good affirmations could be as follows

I am smart.

I am successful

I am Happy.

2. Do not use negatives in the affirmations. Your subscious mind does not recognise negatives.  So if you say, “ Do not limit yourself”, the mind actually registers it as , “ limit yourself”.  The way to write that affirmation would be “ I am open to new opportunities”

3. Keep is short. Don’t write a long essay.. Lengthy stuff is difficult for the mind to remember. Be sure to write only small sentences

4 Don’t write more than  5 or 6 affirmations
