Short Story One: Seeking and Finidng Happiness
Once upon a time, there was a young man who lived a peaceful life in a small village. He was always content with what he had, and he had an optimistic outlook on life. One day, he heard about a big city far away and decided to travel there in search of greater happiness. He thought that perhaps if he moved to the big city, he would find more money, more excitement and more fun. So he set off on his journey, determined to find happiness in the city. He went to many parties,had more fun and enjoyed more. He also made more money.
After a few years in the city, he felt he did not have enough fun or money and wanted to move to a bigger city. So, he moved to a bigger city. In the bigger city too he found ways to make more money and have more fun, but after a few days he felt discontentment rise up in him again.
He thought may be he should go to a bigger country. As he was getting ready to go to another country, he wanted to visit his home village and say good bye to some of his old friends.
On his way back home, the young man stopped to rest in a meadow. As he looked around, he noticed a small flower growing out of a crack in the ground. He was amazed by the beauty of the flower and the determination it showed by growing in by cracking a rock open. The young man suddenly realized that happiness was not something that could be found in a big city or any other place. Happiness was something that could be found within himself, no matter where he was.
Moral of the Story:
The moral of the story is that true happiness comes from within, not from external sources. No matter where you go or what you do, if you focus on being content with what you have, you will find true happiness.
Short Story Two: Finding Happiness in our daily life
Once upon a time, there lived a man who was always unhappy. He was always bitter and grumpy, no matter what life gave him. One day, he decided to go on a journey to find happiness. He travelled far and wide and encountered many people along the way. One day, he met an old wise man who said to him, “The path to true happiness lies within you. You must learn to be content with what you have and appreciate the small moments of joy in life.”
The man took the wise man’s advice to heart and started to look for joy in the small things. He started to focus on the beauty of the world around him, appreciate the people in his life, and find joy in his everyday experiences. He started a gratitude journal, where he would write about what was good that day in his life. He appreciated the fact that he was healthy. He felt good about having a family. He felt good that his job gave him money and he had enough time. He decided to pursue his old hobbies. He took up drawing and painting again.
Soon enough, he found himself smiling and feeling more content with life.
Moral of the Story:
The moral of the story is that true happiness is found within. We all have the power to find joy in the small things, appreciate the world around us, and be content with what we have.
