UNESCO'S World Heritage - Ramappa Temple

The 13th-century Ramappa Temple in Palampet, Telangana has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site!

With this, India has 39 sites on the UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Ramappa Temple was named after Ramappa, the chief sculptor. It took nearly 40 years to complete the temple.

It was constructed in 1213 AD during the reign of the Kakatiya Empire by Recharla Rudra, a general of the Kakatiya king, Ganapati Deva
