Short Stories for Kids With Moral On Opportunities

Kids Short Stories are a great way to discuss important life lessons. The following story show cases how one needs to change to keep up with the times

Baliram was a businessman. who lived in a village near Kashi. He had a small shop where he sold some condiments and savories prepared by his wife. Because of their exceptional taste, he had a good business. But, gradually, many new players entered the market over years building a strong brand name offering many varieties and lucrative discounts due to which Baliram lost his customers and business. This made him lose interest in running his shop. He was disgusted and disappointed with the new players.

One day an old customer named Sharma, visited his shop. He could make out that Baliram was not like before. His shop looked dull with lesser items than before. Baliram expressed his grief to the old customer. Mr. Sharma said that he can provide him with a loan facility from a known bank through which he could get back to business by offering as many things as he could.

Balram wanted to deny the offer, but thought the better of it and consulted his wife. She saw the opportunity and counselled Balram to take the help of Mr.Sharma.  Mr. Sharma helped Balram with the loan and also created a plan based on current market scenarios.

Balram gradually made the changes and slowly started offering more items on the menu, kept the shop well lit and gave attractive discounts during the festive season. Slowly, sale started to increase and Balram was back on his feet again

Moral of the story:

“Changing  time” is the only constant thing in the world. If we don’t change with time and “move on” and learn to adapt ourselves to the newer things, we will have to suffer.
