Short Stories for Kids With Morals -Adapting to new situations

Kids short stories are a great way to teach morals and life lessons. Following short stories have ideas for kids trying to adapt to a new place or situation

Short Story one: Ignore people who irritate us

Billu was a very naughty mosquito. She loved to trouble others. She used to wander here and there and spot someone who would be busy and go trouble them. bite them, sing next to their ears, and when they got disturbed she used to laugh at them.

One day, she saw a bull. He was busy loading and unloading heavy materials for his master. She thought that it was the best time to disturb the bull as he was busy. She flew to him and started singing near his ears. He did not respond. She then sat on his back and started to bite him sharply. He did not respond. She finished her meal and made a comfortable bed for herself amidst the long hair on his body. After waking up from sleep, she went to him and teasingly said that she had a very nice time and had the best meal ever.. Listening to all that the bull said that it did not even notice her coming or sleeping on him. He was even least bothered by such things as he was minding his own business.

Parenting Takeaway:

The best way to react to people who trouble us is to ignore them. This is espeially true when we are trying to adapt into a new place

Short Story Two: We are each very unique

Rahil was an innocent and sweet boy. He had recently shifted to a new place. He was dealing with new friends. Every evening after coming back from play, he used to complain to his grandma that none of his friends were like him. One of them speaks loud, and another fights. While another speaks softer and someone else seldom speaks. Some were rude some were friendly. So, he did not like anyone.

His grandma patiently listened to Rahil and asked him to pick up some random pebbles from the garden. He collected some. She asked him to make a pair of pebbles that looked the same.Afterlooking for a long time, he could not find any. He asked if he could go out and search. Grandma agreed. But despite searching for quite some time, he did not find any stones which exactly looked like the other. Grandma said it’s the same way with his friends. Each one of them was different with different qualities and that is what makes them interesting

Rahil was relieved. Grandma’s lesson made it easier for him to jell well with others. Shortly he made a lot of friends!

Moral of the Story:

If you have trees around your house, please go out and check. The color of the leaf in each tree will be a different shade of green. That is how we are! We cannot find a perfect person like how we imagine. We have to accept others how they are and respect them.
