The Plan of God and the Lazy Man

There was once an extremely lazy man who was always looking for a simpler way to feed himself. He came across the fruit plantation while looking for something to eat one day. He looked around and saw no one guarding the fruits on the tree, so he decided to steal some. But as soon as he came onto the field and began climbing the tree, the farmer noticed him and charged at him to catch him. When the idle guy saw the farmer approaching him with a stick, he became terrified and hurried into the neighboring forest to hide.

After some time, he began to move out from the forest, and while passing through, he noticed the beautiful landscape. There was a fox nearby. It just had two legs and was happily crawling on them. The sluggish man wondered, "How can this fox survive in such a state?" If the fox can't flee, how will he feed himself or survive the threat of other animals?

He was startled to see the lion approaching the fox with a piece of flesh already in his jaws. All of the animals fled, and the slow man climbed up the tree to save himself, but the fox only stayed there since he couldn't run on two legs. But what happened next took the indolent man by surprise. The lion had left a chunk of flesh in his jaws for the fox!

The indolent man was pleased to see God at work. He assumed that the deity, who created everything, always has a plan in place to take care of what he created. He had the impression that God had something in store for him as well. So he left and sat somewhere alone, hoping for someone to feed him as well. He remained glancing at the road as time passed, waiting for his supper. He was there for two days without meals! Finally, he couldn't take the hunger any longer and began to leave.

On the way, he encountered an old sage (a wise person renowned for his wisdom). He informed the sage everything that had happened. The sage initially provided him with food and water. After consuming it, the lazy man inquired of the wise man, "oh wise one, the god had shown mercy on the crippled fox, but why had the god been so cruel to me?"

"True, the creator has a plan for everyone," the wise old man stated with a smile. You are clearly a part of God's plan. But, Son, you misinterpreted his sign. He didn't want you to be a fox. He desired that you be like the Lion."

Moral: We frequently misinterpret the signs. Everyone has been given the strength and ability to do their part by God. Always learn to look at things positively and perceive yourself as being in a powerful position to assist those in need. Don't take the easy route. Make the correct decision.
